Catching Up with CorgiPals

Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I do a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world.

First, I have some bad news. On Sunday, September 1 Corgi Mom Tran came home to find her sweet boy Pi dead. He had suffocated after he got his head stuck in a food bag. Last August we lost Chibi Fuzzbutt, of Facebook fame, the same way. Tran and Lisa, Chibi’s mom, have asked me to set up a fundraiser to raise awareness about the dangers of food bags for pets. The Food Bag Awareness Fundraiser will run for the month of September with no specific goal. Those who are able are welcome to donate in memory of Pi and Chibi, and everyone is encouraged to share this fundraiser with friends and family to raise awareness. RIP sweet Pi and Chibi. Your deaths will not be in vain.

And now… some good news! August was my birthday month. I turned 29 on August 13 and as a birthday present to myself, I set up a CorgiPals Birthday Bucks Fundraiser with a goal of $2,900. I’m happy to announce that we were able to raise $2,343 which helped both Bandit and Zhoie reach their goals!!

Zhoie was able to go to a Corgi meetup recently thanks to YOUR help!!

That about wraps it up for this week! Oh, and don’t forget … CorgiPals has a new company goal that we are trying to reach. We are trying to get our Facebook page to 10,000 “likes” by the end of 2013. We are currently at 6,599 fans! Please spread the word to help us reach our goal! Remember, every person who knows about CorgiPals is one more soldier in our army fighting for Corgis in need all over the globe! Keep on Corgi’n on!
