Time again to count our blessings (and Corgis). A day to be grateful and give thanks in all things, great and small. The Daily Corgi wishes you and yours a feast for both the stomach and the soul.
The blog will be on holiday through Sunday, December 1st and resume publication on December 2nd.
In the meanwhile, things will remain fairly active at The Daily Corgi’s facebook page, on twitter and at Sulia. (I’m new on that social network and having a lot of fun with it). Big things are brewing at the Daily Corgi Celebrates Team Toby page too, where the community is banding together to support Pembroke Welsh Corgi Toby of Texas, his brother Tucker and their family. Toby sustained serious injuries last week while defending Tucker in an unfortunate episode with neighboring dogs. His family is grateful this year for Toby’s survival and the phenomenal outpouring of support from so many people kind hearted people around the world.
You are welcome to visit the Team Toby page and leave your own message, perhaps even your dog’s photo. Every bit of love is helping them rally. Knowing others care is one of the greatest gifts any of us can receive. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to celebrate the power of compassion, isn’t it?
I thank you for all the compassion, energy, support and care you extend every day to me and our fellow Corgis lovers. The Daily Corgi blog and community on facebook are nothing without the people who keep coming back. Whether you join us over that first cup of coffee in the morning, the quick lunch at your desk, between classes in during a busy day on campus, or at twilight when the day is slowing down for rest, I hope you continue to find what you need here.
It’s a joy and a privilege to do this work. The gifts it’s brought me are beyond what I could ever have imagined. That’s what I’m most thankful for this year. And it all starts with the Corgis. Funny how that happened.
Corgi On, my friends!

I think I can speak for Corgi Nation and say that we are all thankful for YOU!
Enjoy your time off!

Anonymous,
Thank you! You make me blush. But seriously — I just do the work in front of me. I do what I have the capacity to do, and the passion comes naturally. I guess I'm proof that Corgi Obsession can be used to good ends. Ha!
