Crosbie the Cardigan Welsh Corgi and Otis the Westie met as young ‘uns at doggy day care. They quickly bonded as buddies whose deep affection for each other eventually brought their Moms Cindy and Linda together as fast friends too!
These soon-to-be-lucky ladies had no idea their dogs even knew one another, until the day Crosbie and Otis ended up in the same manners and obedience class. “It was the weirdest thing when Crosbie and I walked into the classroom” says Cindy. “Otis went crazy when he saw my Crosbie! It was as if they knew one another. Throughout the class, the two dogs continued to whine and look at each another from across the room.”
“After a few classes, I got the chance to talk to Linda, the gal holding on to Otis. We agreed their behavior was odd, but didn’t realize right away that they must have known one another from daycare. From that day on, she and I have grown as friends as our dogs have grown up together, enjoying play dates, doing lunch, visiting the dog parks, taking dog classes together and just generally having fun. When the time for goodbyes rolls around, Crosbie and Otis cry and carry on.”
Can you imagine the healing powers of a visit from these two? Or more precisely, these four. They are a happy posse of pals, goodwill ambassadors wherever they go.
Long live this circle of friends!
