Gravity and the Art of Corgis!

I’ve seen a lot of Corgi art. As a fan for 30+ years and a blogger for seven, I’ve clapped eyes on plenty. Every now and then though, some creative soul comes along with a new twist on Corgi-iana that stops me cold. Naomi Romero is that kind of soul, with that kind of twist. Her sharp, playfully post-modern style is a real eye catcher!

Oh, and she has a Corgi. There’s THAT too. Meet Gravity!

: Gravity

Naomi, a professional illustrator living in Columbus, Ohio, draws lots of dogs, inspired by the dogs running around her house. Gravity in particular provides enough material for the Corgi-themed artwork Naomi is increasingly well-known for.

Gravity got her name from Naomi’s favorite film, ‘Gravity’. This lively Pem enjoys playing with her sister Noodle the Kai Ken, and brother Lucas the cat. She likes to bark at anything that moves. (Uh that’s so Corgi). She hates water and loves to howl with her owners (also very Corgi), which Naomi finds adorable, considering there was a great howling scene in the ‘Gravity’ film.

Naomi Romero is represented by Bright Agency, where she has the lucky job of illustrating children’s books. In addition, she has done work for ABC Mouse, BOOM! Studios, Bark Post, Floating Pear, and more. She had the exciting opportunity of doing character design work for the animated feature film ‘Blazing Samurai’, coming out in 2017. When she isn’t drawing, Naomi enjoys watching horror movies and going to conventions to exhibit her work.
