Bandit

Bandit was born in Dartmouth, Massachusetts on January 21st, 2007. This Pembroke Tri was one of a litter of seven, and his Mom Angela says he adapted pretty quickly to his new home. (After sleeping quite soundly on the ride home from the kennel!)

Angela was feted by her co-workers with a Bandit Baby Shower the Friday before she went to pick him up. “It was the cutest, most thoughtful thing in the world” she writes. “Everyone brought a present for him and the party table was lined with newspaper – clever!”

Wow, wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all have such great co-workers?

Like many Corgis, Bandit always enjoys being the center of attention. He loves to play ball, go for walks in the town park (in Whitman, MA) to meet new doggie friends, and enjoys the comfort of “his” fenced-in yard every day. He likes to sit quietly on his stoop and peoplewatch. When the 4 year-old boy next door comes over to say hello, he refers to Bandit as “Band Aid”.

He’s a fine watch dog, hearing everything with those satellite ears!

Bandit’s absolute favorite toy is the Nylabone dental dinosaur. He’ll stand the dino upright in his paws and gets in a “chew zone” for hours, when nothing can disturb him! His favorite treats are Newman’s Own organic treats in peanut butter or chicken flavor. He’ll sit, lie down, or speak anytime for a Newman’s treat.

Bandit best doggie pals are Pembroke Einstein and a black Lab named Nora. Well, he wants to be Nora’s friend anyway, but she doesn’t have much patience for a young, energetic Corgi.

Bandit’s favorite time of day is when Mom comes home from work. He shakes his bum in typical Corgi fashion and smothers her in kisses. In fact, he does this even if she’s only gone from for ten minutes! He’s always happy to see his family and his they are always happy to see him.
