Keith L. of Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rescue wrote to The Daily Corgi about his foster girl Piper, a rescue from from a puppy mill in Missouri.
“A dog getting its belly rubbed may not be that big of a story” wrote Keith, “but for Piper it is major. She spent her whole first four years as a puppy machine, basically just making puppies and money for her cruel owner.”
“I’ve had her with me for two months so far. She’s not ready for adoption yet; I think I’ll have her for quite a while until she can learn how to have fun, play a little, and accept that not all people are bad.”
“Piper has learned during her time with me that belly rubs rule the school! I had to get a picture of this, as I think for this little girl it is a major milestone in a long list of many more to come.”

She looks like a sweet girl. Puppy mills are so thoughtless and cruel. Every good dog deserves a belly rub, a good run, and love.
I hope she finds a forever home.

Yay for Piper! Yay for Keith L.! Yay for belly rubs! WE got Sophie from Lakeshore Corgi Rescue and she was very timid at first. She has come a long way and now enjoys meeting people. Belly rubs are her favorite, too. Belly rubs al around!
