Melinda Z. ‘s Pembroke Stiggy was named for Stig, a character in her family’s favorite TV series Top Gear.
Stiggy was born in August, 2009 in Australia. “She comes from family of Pembroke Welsh Corgis that have all lived on farms in country Victoria. Stiggy was the only girl in her litter, and arrived with a small bobbed tail.”
“She fit right in with Lizzi, our other older dog. They’ve become best friends.”
“As she has grown we find that the name fits her because she is remarkably quick! She is very cheeky and will chew anything. We have gone through a number of shoes so far, but her favourite toy is her plush rabbit which she got shortly after we got her. Of all the things Stiggy has chewed, this is the only toy she hasn’t destroyed. Instead she sleeps with it and carries it around.”
“Our Stiggy is a beautiful vibrant red, and her fur shines in any light.”
“She is very adventurous; once she got stuck inbetween the bars of a garden gate! Luckily, we got her out.”
“She is super energetic and tends to run around our pool for no reason. She’s also an extrodinary jumper and can jump onto a stone fence three times her height. Stiggy enjoys herding birds and Lizzi in the backyard.”
“We don’t see many Corgis around, so lots of people love seeing Stiggy! She is very sociable and loves to make friends with everyone and everything, loves cuddles and kissses and enjoys giving them.”
“Stiggy is the happiest dog you’ll ever meet, and she has melted our hearts.”
