UPDATE 6/9/2011
Hunny is still improving. She’s weaning off her steroid meds and the fever has not returned. She is exhibiting all her normal “barky-brat behaviour”, though she is still receptive to being scooped up and cuddled and told how special she is and how glad we are that she’s getting better.
Her folks Bob and Lauralee thank The Daily Corgi community for their support, and are happy to share the good news.

The lovely Hunny of Missouri made her Daily Corgi debut back in February.

Following an extremely unfortunate start in life, Hunny made her way into the generous hearts of Lauralee S. and Bob T., via Pet’s Second Chance.
Hunny had a cancer scare recently, but the biopsy came back clean. Unfortunately, she developed an infection and high fever shortly afterwards, and this morning Bob had to take Hun back to the hospital, where she’ll remain overnight. “Her fever is a bit lower and she’s on IV antibiotics, but still no significant improvement” he writes. “I visited Hunny today and it really tore at my heart to leave her.”
Please give a little positive thought or prayer tonight for Hunny and her family, who love her very deeply.
