Just heard from Ruth, the woman who has him:
“Also looked sooooo defeated and I believe he’d given up hope when I got to him. Now his eyes are bright and he is happy.”
“He is home with me recovering. His blood level was 3 when I got him to the vet — normal is 13. He is flea free (that must feel wonderful for him). He had ear mites, skin infections, worms … he was a mess. He is a sweet boy. He is HW+ and food aggressive of course, but he craves human attention. He needs to be house trained but I know he will make someone a good pet. He gets along well with my other dogs. He has HUGE ears and a cute face: I will post pics when he is looking a bit better.”

I weep for this creature , but you're right Laurie, don't lose hope…create it, and believe me you DID with this . And knowing there is a special place in Hell for abusers helps too.
