CorgiPals raised an additional $125 for Willie’s vet bill, and the veterinarian has decided to settle his account!
Visit CorgiPals for the full scoop.
Great work, team CorgiPals, and a tip of the nose to the good folks at Animal Medical Clinic in Portland, Oregon.

Good news! Contributions are coming in for Willie’s vet bill. See HERE for the latest.

While she waits for CorgiPals to be granted non-profit status, founder Paige Davis has put herself in the position of helping a Corgi family with her own funds.
Last week, she put an emergency deposit on her personal credit card for Willie’s surgery on an intestinal blockage, in hopes that his life could be saved. Unfortunately, Willie did not survive the trauma of the surgery.
Although it ended too soon, this boy had a fantastic life, leaving years of wonderful memories to enrich the lives of Mom Julie, sister Annabella and Grandma Diana.
(Read more about Willie HERE).
Friends of Willie’s family have been able to pitch in a bit, but there is still a remaining balance of $514.03 to be paid to the vet. The practice has been kind enough to waive his cremation fee of several hundred dollars.
Paige is asking for our assistance with paying off the remainder of the bill. At this time she is NOT asking to be refunded for the money she herself has put up (though if you happen to win the lottery anytime soon … :-).
Because Willie’s family doesn’t have a PayPal account, Paige is asking that checks and money orders payable to Animal Medical Clinic, with the words “Julie Scholl” on the memo line, be sent to Corgi Pals Headquarters (aka Paige’s home):
CorgiPals, Inc.
PO Box 21504
St. Paul, MN 55121
Paige is handling donations this way so that when the goal is reached, she can return funds directly to contributors if there is an overage.
Feel free to e-mail Paige with any questions:
Friends, it goes without saying that I trust Paige 100-plus percent, and I know many (hopefully all) of you do too. I’m completely behind her willingness to do what she can, where she can, to help Corgis and their families in need. She conducts her work with complete transparency, having nothing to hide except her desire to make a difference.
Bear with us (I’m on the CorgiPals board as “Duchess of Britches”) until that non-profit status comes through.
If you can ease this family’s sorrow by helping to remove the burden of that last bill, you will be helping not just them but also our Paige.
Yes — she’s OUR Paige! A community asset.
Love and biscuits to you Paige, Dexter, and Violet — who just turned five months old!

I love the picture of Willie and the little girl. I think it says everything good that can be said about Corgis.
