I don’t think the blog is ready for “bigger time” yet, and if I’m claiming my part in this — as I ought to, it’s the decent thing to do — I simply wasn’t clear with my developer about this as soon as I should have been. In this, I was unfair to her, a professional to whom I’ve since apologized in every way I am capable of.
Like anyone else, I make my missteps. For better or worse, on a blog our missteps are there for all the world to see. That’s the risk when you step out in front of an audience, as opposed to working behind the scenes.
Lesson learned — very, very well!
Thanks for staying with me, my Corgi People. I like who we are as a community and what we have become. Your coming back here day after day means a great deal to me, and I’d like to thank you for it, from the bottom of my heart.
Corgi On!
p.s. There were bad banana jokes in the original post. I’ve got them saved up for a different post … you’ve been warned :-)!

No matter, Laurie, I love your blog, and as I said before, hard to see how it could be improved upon.

Frankly, I'm quite in love with your blog just the way it is! I think you've created a wonderful community and that's not an easy thing to do. You just Corgi on, we all love and support you!

I appreciate your loftier goals, but you've created a cohesive corgi community from all over the globe, just by being you and sharing your crazy, obsessive love of our stubby dog kids. Live and learn…but keep up the great work!

It's been a rough few days, but if you're not learning you're not living, right?
I truly appreciate your positive reinforcements. Trust me, they're coming in handy right now :-).
Corgially yours,

Sometimes life can take us down roads that just seem a little to bumpy for us. Life is such. We learn from those experiences, but the most important thing is that we carry on forward. That said, that is the type of person you are Laurie and why so many of us care about you. You are a loving, kind, and caring person in this world and it shows every day in your blog. Thanks for being there for us and carrying on!!

Laurie,
I admit I'm a creature of habit and somewhat resistant to change, so I was a bit apprehensive about the revamping of the blog. I'm sure it would have been great, but I'm very happy to see it stay just the way it is! Keep up the great work,
Elisabeth

Hi Laurie,
My husband has a website for his business that was built and is maintained by someone else, and I know from personal experience that it can be a huge leap from concept to actual fruition. If you are not schooled in the technology, sometimes it's very difficult to express yourself correctly to your webmaster. In addition, unintended consequences of decisions can also affect the outcome.
So pat yourself on the back for giving it a try and learning along the way. A big shout-out to your web developer as well. Volunteering can be very frustrating at times; especially when you put a lot of effort into something that doesn't work out in the end.
Keep calm and corgi on!
