Sunday Special Feature: What has your Corgi taught YOU?

I posed that question on The Daily Corgi’s facebook page a few days ago and got so many terrific responses, I knew I had to share some of them here:

“Everything is better with peanut butter.”

“Chloe has taught me how to speak Corgi.”
“That a package of Oreos is not out of reach on the kitchen counter, and that having a human toddler is CAKE compared to a Corgi.”
“Dexter taught me how happy a pet can make me. Violet taught me how happy I can make a pet.”
“That she’s just waiting for me to get with the program.”

“How wonderful it is to fall head over heels for a dog and how generously it is returned.”

“Corgi fur goes with everything.”

“Maggie taught me that going for a walk was FUN! I thought it was exercise! She also taught me kindness towards all living things.”
“That I need to buy more pillows for my bed.” 
“Unconditional, never ending, all consuming, love at first sight.”
“That dogs can spell.”
“That dogs can learn facial expressions from their humans, and use them right back at us! You should see my Faye’s “I am so totally disgusted with you right now” look. She had to have learned it from my daughter.”
“No matter where you are, SOMEONE is eager to see you.”
“Singapore Chester taught me how important a role we play in his world. We are totally responsible for his well-being … how fragile they are in this mad world of ours.”

“He likes his king size bed with lots of pillows.”

“That she can eat my entire house in seconds:  my couch, my shoes, my socks, my napkins, toilet paper, magazines, underwear …”

“To not care what others think — even if you’re pooping in the middle of the street!”

“Babe taught me being only one foot tall, a little “funny-looking” (in the adorable way that all Corgis are) and having only two legs that “work” (after a serious spinal cord injury at age five) shouldn’t stop you from enjoying life to the fullest.”

    That everyone you see must want to be your friend and receive kisses.

    My life was so lonely before he entered.
