When little Luca first arrived, it took big brother Raleigh a couple of weeks to realize that the rookie was here to stay. After a three week adjustment, their playing started and hasn’t stopped since.
Nine year-old Riley enjoys showing his six month-old brother Luca the ropes. Dad Thom R. says they get along fine, playing every day and doing plenty of of chase and play fighting. “Luca really looks up to big brother, but he likes to hang out in whichever room one of us happens to be in.”
“Both love their walks and like riding in the car. Like all Corgis, they really enjoy their food, and fortunately they are respectful of each one another’s food bowls.”
“Raleigh is named for the city where I went to college. At home he is known as “sweet boy” and he truly lives up to it. He was born in California but came to us by way of Portland at the age of 13 weeks.”
“He had a short but productive agility career and loved every moment of it. He is a very smart boy who’s always been attracted to kids and they to him. Raleigh adores the neighborhood kids and gets excited to see them at Halloween.”
“Raleigh wears the doggles when we take the convertible. He uses them when he goes out with me in the convertible, and he particularly enjoys accompanying Kelley and me on errands. We can leave food in the car, come back and find it untouched. He can read our minds (as well as probably control them). Our boy is pretty much the wonderful dog of everyone’s dreams. My mood is never hidden from Raleigh, he seems to know my every thought. Now the little guy is picking this trait up too.”
“With his favorite toy in the backyard, during the Summer. When I cut the grass he’ll carefully place the Frisbee in the path of my next cut, knowing all along I’ll have to pick it up!” (Editor’s note: BOL!)
“Luca is a fearless young Corgi, and as he’s grown older he’s starting to show his sweet side. He’s not a reserved Cardigan now, and I’m betting he won’t be as a grown-up. He follows the lead of his big brother and copies his tricks for treats.”
“Luca greets everyone just like Raleigh. Both are alert Corgis who want to be involved with the pack. The boys will wait in the bay window waiting for mom to come home. All I have to say is “mama’s coming” and Raleigh goes and waits at window. He is very patient and will wait for quite some time.”
“At 11 weeks, snoozing in his favorite chair. There is some occasional foot motion; he’s probably dreaming of playing with his big brother.”
“We live a mile from the Woodinville Ground Crew featured on The Daily Corgi back in December. Our walks take us past their place, and we go to their Corgi party every year.”
It’s wonderful having two of these guys in our world!

They are two gorgeous pups. I do think dogs can read our minds, as well as "control" us with their beautiful eyes.
