Siblings Nina and Nino were recently pulled from the kill list right before they were scheduled to be put down in Fort Worth, Texas. They’ve been in boarding with a pet sitter since, because they were too ill with severe URIs (upper respiratory infections) to be around other dogs. Nina and Nino still need homes, or a rescue who can take them in. Nina is likely pregnant (pending X-ray confirmation), and Nino is a light heartworm positive.
Springing these two was a group effort; the contact for further information about these two Corgi mixes is Emily Rose G. at dreameyce@gmail.com.
Nino and Nina have their own facebook page … check it out!
Thank you and a huge thumbs up to everybody who pulled together to save Nina (with the perky ears) and Nino (with the “button ears”)! At the risk of preaching to the choir … please, please, please spay and neuter your pets and spread the word about how important spay and neuter is for the welfare of millions of pets.
Not all of them get lucky like these two … but they are are all as deserving.

I wish I could give them a home š unfortunately we are located in Germany and already have a corgi and a jack russell here. But I hope there will be someone soon giving them a lovely home, they are both adorable! <3

I can't say THANK YOU enough to Penny, their petsitter, who morning of springing them from the shelter agreed to board them in her home, and give them their meds. These two had likely never been inside of a home (The tore up flybitten ears are telling), so she's not only cared for them, but they're coming along very well with housebreaking! Also a HUGE thanks to everyone who've donated to their vet care, and boarding so far. Everyone who's been involved in saving these two really are miracle workers!
These two would love to go to a forever home together, but I'm sure can be separated. Once their meds are through, and boarding is over they have no place to go so really do need a rescue, or adopter in the next few days. Corgi-dom needs to keep the miracle work up for these two! They're VERY sweet, laid back, not barky, and seem to be great with kids, other dogs, and have met horses and didn't have any problems with the horses.

Oh, and it was severe URI's (Upper Respiratory Infections), not UTI's (Urinary Tract Infection)
