You’ve got to hand it to those Sunshine State Corgis. They’re always up to something, and that something is usually fun!
On July 15th, fifteen “fraptastically cool beach bum” Corgis from central, southeast and southwest Florida converged on Estero Dog Park to celebrate Spark Plug’s two-year Spark Plug birthday and conduct a solid session of all out frap and frolic. “It continues to amaze me how so many Corgis can get along together in neutral territory” writes Vicki C. “Everybody brought their chairs, poop bags, water — and CORGIS!”
Spark Plug reads his birthday card!
Miss Rose — foxy lass!
Mr. Gryffin — that’s a “put me in coach!” look if there ever was one!
Miss Teegan — eat your heart out, Lassie!
Mr. Koda — proving once and for all that nobody and nothin’ smiles quite like a Corgi!
Twiggs and That Tongue, a rescued cutie! And look at those feet … what is it about the Corgi feets?
Vader — keeping birds everywhere in line!
Baxter — a foster boy waiting to make a forever home very happy.
Miss Soffie — she’s all THAT and a bag of biscuits!
Rufus — part Corgi, part teddy bear, all irresistible.
Mr. Corgi Waddlebutt — whole lotta handsome goin’ on here!
Eliza — look at those eyes! I don’t think she misses a trick, do you?
Ryno and Wrigley — twice as nice, and then some!
Ohno — here comes trouble!
Following playtime in the park, the gang moved to Todd and Carrie B.’s place for a potluck dinner and a cooled off place for the dogs to mix, mingle and beg for a little table food.
Spark Plug works his charms on an unsuspecting victim.
In the company of Corgis … smiles all around!
Who said cheese?! A valiant attempt at a group shot …
… and another …
… and another! Not too shabby, guys.
Sir Spark Plug gives his birthday gifts the “sniff test”.
I’m a big boy now, huh Dad?
You sure are. I love ya, little man.

Does Baxter have a forever home? I'm still looking for a sibling for my Corgi boy Nigel.
Thanks,
Kathy

What is the situation with Baxter? Where is he being fostered — does he still need a home? Thanks.
