GOOD NEWS UPDATE: On Friday, August 10th, Maggie’s Fund reached goal. Thanks to many generous, giving people who donated and shared Maggie’s story with others, she will have her surgery. Her folks are immensely appreciative.
Thank you!
Congratulations to CorgiPals for another successful campaign on behalf of a Corgi in need.

Well now look at this face. Melt, huh? Total love, right there. This girl hasn’t always known the love she deserves, however. Born with a birth defect that has caused urine leakage since puppy days, she escaped a violent end at the hands of someone unfortunately who didn’t care — or know — to do any better by her.
Thank goodness some fine people intervened on Maggie’s behalf and she was saved from that fate.
Her urinary incontinence didn’t stop them from bringing her into their home and trying everything they could to get her help. Laser surgery, medicine, “doggie diapers” … she’s seen a lot in her short life.
Finally, Maggie was diagnosed in May with a condition known as double ectopic ureters. She’s got a shot at surgery with a veterinarian specializing in treatment and cure of this vexing problem. Maggie’s family is taking her in on August 22nd for treatment, and they’ve got $800 saved for it.
What do you say we help with the rest of the cost? Would you like to join me and CorgiPals in making it happen for this deserving bunch? Our numbers are big, our love is legendary (just ask people who are amazed at what Corgi Nation does!), I say there’s no way we can lose. A happy ending for Maggie is easily within our collective reach.
Let’s put a smile on that face. A great big glowing, grinning Corgi smile. Head on over to Maggie’s ChipIn page and consider what you can part with this week and next to be a vital part of this happy ending story-in-progress.
As for me, I’ll be giving up my daily iced coffee (sorry Dunkin’, the rest of America will have to run on Dunkin’ for a while without me). Twenty bucks worth of coffee? Easy peasy, I can make it at home. And the ice is free.
Whether you can give or not (and I understand we can’t all give all the time), I’m grateful you’re here. I’m grateful that you care. You are an important part of what makes this a community we can all be proud of; what you do matters.
Keep rockin’ the Corgi socks, my friends! Never lose hope!

I would like to help, But I just spent over $1000 to save my Maggie. She just died and I miss her so much. You are wonderful for saving that dog. You won't regret your rescue.

Thank you for leaving kind words. We cannot all give all the time — life happens — but words are valuable too!
I''m so sorry you lost your beloved Maggie. It can be unspeakably hard.
