Dora the Explorer turns the big THREE today — woohooo!
Dora joined Jill T.’s family about six months after their Cardigan Marco Polo passed in the spring of 2009. “Since Marco was an amazing Corgi” she says, “we contacted the same breeder to get the same Marco magic.”
“We eagerly monitored Dora’s weekly baby progress and were secretly worried, since she wasn’t the most attractive puppy.”
“But Dora promptly stole our hearts the first day she came home, even after she piddled on our bed during one of the first photo-ops. This was a one time event.”
“Dora grew up on the Georgetown University campus and loves it. Every day is an adventure!”
“Dora loves to play ball and catch the frisbee. The only catch is that she gets passionate enough to KILL for the ball and frisbee. Her dog walker calls her Wild Child.”
“Dora’s other passion is swimming. On one of our annual Cherry Blossom walks, Dora jumped in the Tidal Basin to go after a duck. My husband jumped in to rescue her since we didn’t know how well she could swim.”
Dora and Barkley at Roosevelt Island
“From then on we took her swimming in Rock Creek, the Potomac River, the Jersey Shore, etc. There is no happier pup than Dora hiking and swimming with her pals!”

The Trio
“If you’re ever on the Georgetown campus, do look for Dora playing ball, fetching the frisbee or just having a chat with the sprinkler!”

Dora….Jimmy and Wilson are in your area. We swim in the Potomac, too! Maybe our paths will cross one day!

I want to be Dora! She lives in a castle, has hundreds and hundreds of loyal fans. (Can you imagine what it must be like to live on a college campus? All of those young people missing the beloved pets that they had to leave at home.)
And the scenery! Unimaginably grand. She may have gone through an awkward phase, but I didn't see it. She is stunningly, drop dead gorgeous! …..deep sigh…… What a fortunate corgi; and what fortunate humans. Corgi kisses to all. Rebecca & Little Miss Pudgy Paws.

I can see the varmint in her eyes. Loool Love the video of her chasing the Retriever-really faked her out and caught her. Such a sweetheart.

Chasing around in a circle and screaming is my favorite. Dora, you are a doll and must make so many people happy every single day.

Is the beagle named Bagel? Bagle the beagle? 🙂 🙂

May I ask who your breeder is? Your cute Dora looks a lot like my Bunter, who I got from a breeder in Reston. I wondered if the were related.
