First up is Tracer in Massachusetts! He’s looking for a foster or forever home. This little dude’s been in boarding for six weeks already.
From his Petfinder.com listing:
“Tracer is a two year-old Corgi/Collie mix who came to us from of all places, California. This is a happy, bouncy yippy boy who loves balls, toys, treats, petting, chasing squirrels, napping, eating, treats, toys, bouncing, spinning, etc. You get the idea. This 40 pound ball of fluffy love is a great dog for people who like Corgis.”
“He has the temperament of the Corgi without the herding drive, which is kind of funny considering that his other half is pretty clearly Collie. Tracer needs a home that can manage an active dog who is knee high. He is wonderful with kids and would make a nice family dog. He is a great dog with a wonderful disposition who loves life.”
Because Tracer doesn’t get along very well with other dogs, he’s been boarded for the past six weeks instead of living in a foster home; all fosters associated with this rescue group already have dogs. Someone who is experienced and confident would be perfect for him. Tracer does have some leash issues (pulling and lunging at other dogs), but these things are very workable. No kitties, please.
This special guy is neutered, up-to-date with routine shots and house-trained.
If you are interested in Tracer, he is available for fostering in the New England area. If you are can offer him a permanent home, he can travel as far north as Maine, and as far south as Tennessee.

Caution! Yodas in the mirror are even cuter than they appear.
See? Told ya!
According to his foster Mom Lauren K., Yoda is five and-a-half years old and located in Columbus, Ohio. “His previous owner had to re-home him because she was in school full time, working full time, and wasn’t able to keep up with his medicine and walk him daily. Yoda was also fighting with her twelve year-old lab mix, and the she knew it would be easier to re-home a middle aged Corgi than a senior Lab mix.”
“In 2009 Yoda was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and arthritis, but so far it hasn’t progressed much beyond slight limps after running/playing or laying down for long periods of time.”
“Yoda would do better in a home with no dogs or cats, but if there is a dog, Yoda would do better with a very submissive dog who knows how to back down. He’s currently staying with me and my two Corgis, Madoc and Winston. He gets along fine with Madoc, as Madoc will walk away and ignore Yoda if Yoda growls at him, whereas Winston will attack if Yoda growls at him and Yoda will fight back. That shows what kind of dogs Yoda gets along better with. I think he doesn’t like other dogs being in his face, as he is just starting back up on Rimadyl and Phycox (glucosamine supplements) to help with his joints, so he is probably in some pain right now and wants space.”
“Yoda LOVES to go on walks and riding in the car. He likes to relax on his bed or in a crate and play fetch. He would do better with older kids that know how to handle a dog, especially one with his chronic painful conditions. He takes Rimadyl twice a day as well as the Phycox chews once daily, and any potential owner should know that Rimadyl requires yearly bloodwork to monitor the liver and kidney levels, since it is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Yoda is currently on a diet and needs to lose at least five pounds, possibly more, as that will help his hips a lot.”
“He is current on rabies, bordatella, and distemper/parvo, as well as a fecal exam and heartworm test.”
To inquire about Yoda, please contact Lauren: lmk1288@yahoo.com. She would like to see Yoda stay in Ohio or a surrounding state.

Stop it! Stop it! I fall in love with these corgis, and THEN you tell me they need a home with no other dogs! AHHHHHHH.
I have a Faye Corgi. She is nine, and has been bossy since day one. She loves other dogs, as long as they know the rules. She has one rule. "It is Faye's house. You live here by her good graces."
Oh, actually, there is another thing. She is the fun police. There will be no playing in her presence. None. No fun. "YOU! Stop it. Go back to your corner and lie down. I mean it. Don't make me bite you!"
