Though she’s only six months old, adorable Zoey here has already proved herself a valorous canine in an astonishing feat of Corgi watchdog-ery. Read on!
Late on a Friday night a little over a week ago, Zoey began barking at (apparently) nothing. Not unusual behavior for a Corgi, but her Mom Lana says it went on for nearly an hour.
“After I got on her for barking” Lana writes, “Zoey started growling and
scratching at the carpet near one of the electrical outlets in the living room. I got up to see what she was reacting to and saw a tiny spark. I quickly woke my husband, who took the plate off the outlet and found a small flame that had started to smoke. The plug was burned.”

“I didn’t notice the sparking or the smoke, but Zoey had.”
Now bring on the biscuits!
“I thank God every day that I have her. It could have turned out really bad, but she saved our home and our
lives.”
lives.”
“Zoey is extraordinary.”
Well, she is a Corgi after all … 😉

When corgis persist and insist always listen. Somehow they know when something isn't as it should be. (If you've ever bought a new piece of furniture, or moved something in the yard, etc. you know this) We were in Florida living in our RV a couple years ago, Cholla (another incredible corgi) was having a fit. I was in the back of the bus late at night watching a movie with surround sound and turned up pretty loud, she kept running back barking right at me and then running to the front. Persistantly. I turned down the tv, went to the front and opened the door. I could hear glass breaking, thieves were breaking windows and entering park model homes and stealing tvs. Cholla was the only one that heard them!

My husband and I are proud corgi puppy parents. Bella and Beau came to live with us on New Years Day. They are helping us heal from the loss of our Zoe (yellow lab, but still a great dog). So we are very happy to be part of the corgi world now. I love reading these stories. Good for Zoey!!

Zoey has been a Blessing to both my husband and I. Before we got Zoey I had a lil dog named Sugar and I had her for 10 years just passed away this past March of Breast cancer, I though there was no way I could Love another dog as much as I Loved her. I waited nearly 6 months before I got Zoey. She is the first Corgi I have ever owned and she has been a handful, wasnt use to all the sheading but she made it easy to Love again, she has brought so much joy into our lives, God knew exactly what I needed & that was my Lil Zoey!!!
