Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I do a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world. This week’s theme: If you build it, they will come!
First this week I’d like to put the spotlight on our longest running client, Willow! This sweet girl suffered from seizures and swollen lymph nodes before being diagnosed with lymphoma back in mid-August 2012. She was given just 3 months to live without undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Willow braved her way through only a few treatments before her time to cross the Rainbow Bridge came on September 14, 2012, just 5 days after her fundraising campaign had started. To date we have raised $4,454 of her $6,480 bill. Corgi Mom Judi still needs $2,026 to finish paying off Willow’s treatments and finally get peace of mind.
Next I’d like to remind you of our newest contest: the CorgiPals Corgi Talent Show! This contest will be conducted using videos that you record of your Corgi(s) demonstrating his/her/their special talents! Does your Corgi sing? Dance? Paint? We want you to share those talents with the world! Hop on over to the Contest Page on the CorgiPals website to get all the details and information you’ll need to enter this fun new contest. We’ve received lots of great entries and the deadline is Saturday, June 8, so be sure to submit your videos soon!
Finally, it is my absolute honor to announce that I am the Pack Leader for Pembroke Welsh Corgis on Pack! What is Pack? Pack is a social website created by dog lovers for dog lovers. Pack is currently in beta, and is thus available by invite only. Within the next few weeks and months, new features will become available… but for now it’s still in the beginning stages.
So how do I get in? Simply send an email to Paige at corgipals@gmail.com and I’ll hook you up with an invite!
And what’s a Pack Leader anyway? Being Pack Leader means I’m the head honcho of all things Pembroke Welsh Corgi over on Pack. This also makes me the Curator of the weekly PWC newsletter. Anyone who creates a page for their Pem on Pack will automatically be signed up for the newsletter. Don’t have a Pem? You can still sign up for the newsletter here.
Heeeey, what about Cardigans?? Never fear! Our very own Laurie Eno of The Daily Corgi is the Pack Leader for Cardigan Welsh Corgis. To sign up for that newsletter go here.
That about wraps it up for this week! Oh, and don’t forget … CorgiPals has a NEW company goal that we are trying to reach. We are trying to get our Facebook page to 10,000 “likes” by the end of 2013. We are currently at 5,367 fans! Please spread the word to help us reach our goal! Remember, every person who knows about CorgiPals is one more soldier in our army fighting for Corgis in need all over the globe! Keep on Corgi’n on!

where is the link to help Willow?
Laurie Eno / The Daily Corgi says
Sharonliz, the link to Willow's page is http://www.corgipals.org/Fundraisers/TheBaxterValentineFund/Willow.aspx and the link to her fundraiser is on the upper right hand corner of that page.
Thanks for your interest in helping!
