Bob #Corgi, Martha and Lola of Massachusetts

My name is Bob. You may know me by my stage name “Bob Corgi”. Here is the story of my real life fairy tale.

Even before I was born, my Mom and Dad were waiting for me. You see, they always wanted a dog. Mom wanted a Corgi and Dad wanted a Mastiff. So they compromised and got me (a Corgi). But I’m super special. So special in fact, they had to interview and wait for more than a year to get me. But

Mom and Dad think I was worth the wait.
You might not know it but I am a dual citizen Corgi. My Mom is from the USA and my Dad is a famous corgi from Australia. Before I got my real name, I was known as TJ (Troy Jr.) because I look like my Dad Troy.

This is the first picture that Dad ever took of me. My ears weren’t even up yet.

Who’s the cutest puppy ever? Me — that’s who!


When I turned a year old, I got a big sister named Martha. She was a retired champion and more mature than me. She taught me how to behave and be a great Corgi. Together we had wonderful adventures.

Every summer, Mom and Dad would take us camping. It’s really fun because we got to sleep in a tent, eat our dinner outside and best of all, go on a different hike every day!

We climbed a mountain and got a little bit muddy. I think we’ll have to go for a swim to wash it off.


Since we’re on the subject, I love to go swimming! I’m an excellent swimmer for someone with 3-inch legs.

Here we are after swimming in the big pool that Dad calls The Ocean.

When it snows, Dad makes a racetrack for us to run in — pretty cool. Get it? Cool … ’cause it’s made of snow. A little Corgi humor for you.

This picture was taken during my last vacation with Martha. We got to spend a whole week at a cottage on a lake.


We went swimming every day. I even tried to swim after a duck!

I am a member of the CERT (Corgi Emergency Response Team). Here I am protecting my family during Hurricane Irene in 2011. My tennis ball and cookies were ready if we had to evacuate.

Last year, Martha got sick. Our vet just couldn’t fix her and she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. When Mom came home without her, it was the saddest moment in my life. I know we’ll be reunited one day but that didn’t help my broken heart.

Then we went for a ride and met a crazy puppy named Lola.


It was love at first sight.


I was telling Lola that I’d always take care of her and she had no reason to be afraid, even though she was leaving her brothers and sisters.
A very nice lady named Jane (Lola’s Human Grandma) told us that we could take her home to live with us. Yay! I love being a big brother. Lola loves to play (all the time) and go for hikes.

I have a lot of friends around the world because of Facebook. Dad is a great photographer and his photos have really gotten me a lot of attention. You may not know this but I am the inspiration behind CorgEcards.

My Mom made me that tie. She is big into arts and crafts, and makes a LOT of spiffy stuff for dogs (ties — including bow ties! — hoodies, raincoats, decorative dog bandanas.     Bob-My corgi,Zoe, and I loved reading your story. You are a very accomplished and clever pup. Of course, Zoe says what else would a corgi be? Could Zoe be your friend on Facebook please? She is a very pretty Tri colour Pembroke and she has lots of opinions!
