Can it be a year already since last Thanksgiving?! Time flies. I don’t know where it’s flying to, but it’s sure going somewhere. And fast.
Every 365 days we Americans (and hello Canadians!) have an entire day set aside to give thanks. And there is always something to be thankful for. This year, I propose we put friends and family at the top of the list, and by that — of course — I mean Corgis, too.
Because they are our friends, and our family! All our pets are, and deserve to be.
Thankful for Friends and Family

On the theme of Thanksgiving, I want to tell you how much I appreciate YOU, my readers. I am genuinely thankful for the community of people who have responded so warmly to my work in the last seven years. In some ways, this blog and the Facebook page represent some big dreams come true for me.
It’s good to have company for that. What company it is!
A wise soul once exhorted us to “keep Christmas in our hearts through every day of all the year”. I’d say Thanksgiving is nearly as important, in its own way. The ability to be grateful doesn’t always come easily, but when it does, it’s freeing. There is no greatness without gratefulness, when you think about it!
Seeing our simple, everyday good fortune, the way it glitters among the troubles and the worry … that’s a kind of magic. It’s a gift for the taking.
Yours in Corgi love and friendship, as we start this Thanksgiving week …
