Hi, all! I’m Gimli, a male Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and I just turned eight months old on May first.
I live with my family of six Corgis and three people in Central, California. They say it’s about a two-hour drive from high Mountains, Low Deserts, and the Beach, but I say it’s a two hour opportunity to make sure I thoroughly sniff out every single restaurant, diner and truck stop cafe we pass!
My Mom Linda B. sees things a bit differently, but I love her like crazycakes anyway.
I adore my squeak toys, enjoy stealing them away from my Uncle BG, dig road trips, and love people food… HAMBURGERS especially. On our recent Big Road Trip, I also discovered and grew to love Sausage Biscuits and Ham Biscuits from Cracker Barrel.
Unfortunately, they don’t have Cracker Barrels here in California.
Oh, for those lovely biscuits …
In these photos from the trip, you can see how little I was and how much I grew — so fast! From the time I was a little one, I’ve always enjoyed learning new things.
And snuggling.
With Granny I’m learning new tricks like playing fetch, climbing ladders, doing high fives and shaking hands. She says it’s like training, but to me it’s more like play. Grammy has a bad back and hip, and someday I hope to be able to lend her a paw like my Unca BG and Grandma OC. For a rookie, I think I have plenty of potential– if I do say so myself.
All in all, I’d say it’s a wonderful life for me. Except for the Cracker Barrel issue, of course.

Nice to meet you! Maybe I’ll see out there on the great American highways and byways sometime.
Hope so!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for featuring me here today! I am so honored, and I got to stick my tongue out at my brother and sister because I got on here first! I'm the oldest, after all, anyway! Now they are saying that they are going to have to send you their information soon. Thank you, again, and now that you've reminded me about those Cracker Barrel Sausage Biscuits, I think I'm going to go and dream about them… Gimli from Corgi Country

Oh you are so cute gimli! You'll have to come and visit me in West Virginia. We have Cracker Barrels all around where I live! It is one of my favorite places to eat at as well!
Safe travels!

It's time for another road trip Gimli to get your fix of biskeys!
Great story and pictures of a terrific dog, and his family.
What a lucky group of corgi kids to have the lifestyle, and family that they do!
