Yoseph C. of Vancouver, British Columbia tells The Daily Corgi that his first dog Kyuuko “has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in my entire life!”
Kyuuko came into Yoseph’s life as an eight week old puppy.
Now he’s a year.
“Kyuuko’s name is from Kyuu which is 9 in Japanese. If you know the story of Hachiko (http://tinyurl.com/3cyjwf), Hachi means 8. I just want Kyuuko to be the next Hachiko.”
“He is from an accidental litter that I found on a kijiji listing. Although he is accidental, when he was younger a lot of people thought he was a designer breed. I’m quite proud of it! The mother’s owner is not sure what breed the father is, she thinks it might be a Morkie because the mother (she’s a Cardigan) always hangs out with a Morkie.”
“Kyuuko looks a lot more like a Corgi nowadays. When I take him downtown a lot of people think he is pure Corgi, but his coloring is unique and makes him very attractive. He is quite friendly, and he greets anyone anywhere, dogs and humans alike.”
“Summer is coming here and Kyuuko and I have been out more and more during the weekends, enjoying the sun. He loves it! He still gets tired relatively easily but I will take him out more and more, and when he is older and stronger I hope Kyuuko and I can enjoy longer hikes together.”
