Kathy S. is asked all the time what kind of dogs she has. “I tell them they’re not dogs at all” she writes. “They’re little people in fur suits!”
Make that two too smart for their own good people in fur suits.
“I had researched the breed and wanted Corgi for a long, long, time. On December 21, 1998 my dream came true. We brought them home when they were six weeks old and they’ve been the light of our lives for more than 13 years. Although we had planned to get just one puppy, Corgis just seem to come in twos. They are sisters; Sugar is a carbon copy of her Mom Taffy and Rowdy is a carbon copy of her father Big Rowdy. They have traveled all over the U.S. with us, as Steward was in the Air Force for 20-plus years.”
“Rowdy (Rowdy Spice Girl) crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 13th, and we miss her every day. Sugar (Taffy’s Brown Sugar) misses her too. Although she doesn’t really know what to do with herself without her sister, she’s getting better. We continue our long walks and check pee mail every day.”
“We hold on tight to our girl. She’s the queen of the neighborhood (and everyone in our town house complex knows it)!”
“Sugar was always alpha dog, with Rowdy following along for the fun, forever the clown, constantly doing something amusing or getting into mischief.”
“No sweeter dog than Rowdy has ever lived.”
“When they were younger, Rowdy loved to fetch a frisbee and Sugar enjoyed fetching a tennis ball. They would play for hours if we had let them.”
“Together they adored riding in the car and went with us virtually everywhere.”
“It was truly love at first sight. We love our babies so!”

Rowdy and Sugar look exactly like my Faith and Sassy. So sorry about Rowdy. Rowdy is the first tri-color I have seen that looks just like my Faith. My girls are 7 years old and are not sisters, but came from same kennel. Since my husband's death 2 1/2 years ago, these little girls are my reason for getting up in the morning!

Your girls are adorable! Sorry to hear about Rowdy, but glad Sugar keeps you going every day. I don't know what I would do without my baby. (And by the way, he checks pee mail daily as well. What a cute way of putting it.)

Pee mail… hahahha, that is very cute! This is a lovely tribute to a much missed family member. Bless you for taking such good care of Sugar 'cause I am sure she misses her pal Rowdy. Thanks for giving us a window into your life.
