Hi everybody! I’m Harold, the “little” puppy you met on this blog eight
months ago! Well let me tell you, I’m not so little any more!
This is
what I looked like when we made our big Daily Corgi debut back in February. (I’m the smaller guy on the left,
and that’s my big brother Erk).
Here is a more recent picture — can you tell who is a year older now?
Maybe it’s easier to tell us apart here — I’m the handsome lad on the
left. My “skullcap” markings came in nicely, don’t you think?
Erk is the best big brother a Corgi could
ask for. We play all day — we are feisty! When I was smaller and we’d rough house, I think he
sometimes “let me win”, but now I am EVEN BIGGER
THAN HIM! Yep, the vet told me I weigh more than he does now. Heh heh,
now we can REALLY wrestle! Erk is the Beast from Back East, and I Bring the Pain from the Colorado Plains. It’s always in good fun though …
Erk and I have very different personalities.
He is the protector of the house, always patrolling the premises and
checking on our Mom and Dad to make sure everything is OK. Here he is
“protecting” his Daddy.
Erk is also the athlete of the family. While
I have my puppy frap attacks, I am much more laid back than my big
brother. If Mom or Dad throws a toy, I just let Erk do all the hard work of running to get it, then take it from him when he runs back. Ha! He falls for it every time. Erk
may have have the brawn but I think I got the brains in the family! I’m also the conversationalist of the family, always talking! What
can I say? I like to be be the center of attention. One of my favorite
activities is getting rubdowns from Mom. She’s in Massage Therapy
school, so really I’m just helping her practice. That’s why I
(good-naturedly) growl at her whenever she tries to stop petting me.
But then I give her some love licks, so we’re even. I demand a lot of
affection, but I always give it back!
Here is a photo of me on one of my
favorite spots to sit. Mom and Dad say it’s fitting that I like
to put myself on a pedestal. I have no idea what they are talking about.
Even with all our differences, Erk and I love the same things. Our favorite thing to do (other than getting treats) is going on car rides!
Usually we go to the park, but on extra lucky days we get to go
hiking in the mountains! We scramble over rocks on trails, and Daddy
says we must be part mountain goat. He’s so silly — we are ALL CORGI!
On our last trip, Mom and Dad took us to see the famous Stanley
Hotel that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining. Mom tried to
take a picture of us with Dad, but we were ready to get outta there!
It was spOOky …

Did you all see those two squirmy boys ready to conquer the next mountain. They are such a well matched pair and ever so handsome. To use my signature phrase, I will guess that your home is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Great good fortune!

Harold, how you have grown. It was good to hear of your travels. I went to that hotel one time. You are right, it is a bit spooky. So nice that your folks installed that beautiful door for the two of you to keep an eye on the world. Keep having fun.

How wonderful that you two are best buds! The only thing better than one corgi is two! And what interesting markings on your head!

What adventures you two do get up too. And soo brave to go out into the woods even if it was a little spooky. But nothing can stop a Corgi … Keep us up to date with all your adventures especially when we live in Australia we have different places for our dogs to travel.
