“Brenin” is Welsh for king, and the name fits this little man perfectly. With his white tipped tail perpetually wagging and waving, his furry siblings Toby, Chyna and Bagheera know the new kid is in town, in charge and here to stay!
Not even Dads escape the royal paw. “I hereby decree thee my loyal subject.”
“Our older boy Toby is quite jealous” writes Tammy H.,”but
still hams it up for the camera.”
still hams it up for the camera.”
Just who is that kid, and when is he leaving?”
The king’s imprimatur (bite marks) are everywhere. Naturally.
Brenin struggles to stay awake, but puppy naps are inevitable. Even a sovereign needs some shut-eye.
At eight weeks old, it ain’t easy being head of the pack.
Especially when the subjects fool and jostle around. Hijinx with the king … that’s brave stuff! Look out for poop-in-the-shoes retribution!
“Brenin was one of six pups born to a pregnant puppy mill female rescued by Tail to Tell, along with two male Corgis. All puppies and adults
have found forever homes.”
“His dark eyes don’t miss much and he is so bold and busy. We aren’t getting much done. The rescue doesn’t want his tail docked, and of course we are honoring that request.”
“He likes to get under the couch and pounce on Toby’s big pillow.”
Hi Pops!
“Brenin loves his new Daddy and is a HUGE hit with the students at the law school where Joe teaches. At his first class he wandered about the room
for a bit, then settled down for a little snooze behind the podium. I doubt there will be a shortage of student volunteers to walk Brenin between classes!”

That’s right, I’m the BCOC (Big Corgi On Campus)! I ride low and not-so-slow.
Bottom line? It’s GOOD to be king!

Oh, Pops, you have days of laughter and joy before you. That tail will give you extra information from your little one. Brenin is adorable. Best wishes as you attempt to teach a roomful of distracted students.

It looks like 'Brenin, The Great' will be a long reining monarch who will leave a great legacy. He is off to a great start. 'DoG Save The King',

MarijanK, Our Toby is almost 9. When he came into our family at 5 months, he was a WILD man and our 5 year old corgi at the time was not amused. It did take time and I suspect it will take time for Toby. He does play with Brenin for short bursts and lets Brenin know when he's out of line but fortunately, nothing rough. All you can do is make sure your older guy knows he is still your special boy or girl, have a watchful eye, and be patient. I really think having an older dog helps train the puppy.
