When Patti T.’s beloved Pembroke Roxie went to the bridge last year, this rambunctious charmer brought life back to an empty household, light back to a deeply saddened heart.
“Everything in my house was a memory of Roxie” writes Patti. “Knowing I was financially unable to do it myself, my brother and his wife offered to get me an early Christmas present
and asked
me to find a new puppy. There wasn’t the slightest doubt about what kind of puppy I would be bringing
home — nothing but a Corgi would ever do. When I saw Sherlock’s photo it was love at first
sight!”

“My Dad lives in an assisted living facility and Sherlock
loves going there to see all his elderly friends who love him
as much as he loves them. He’s a little roughhouser but seems to know
he has to tone it down for them. His tender side is very apparent when
he is with them. I am so proud!”

Sherlock is a big fan of peanut butter, bully sticks, food in general, gator wrastlin’, removing the guts from stuffed toys and shredding magazines.
Making mischief is tiring.
The gator has been wrassled into submission.
All ears.
An energetic pup can be helpful around the house. Assisting with the dishes …
… and the laundry too. Those clothes won’t spin themselves without supervision.

Did you see how seriously that Sherlock was studying the words like, KITCHEN, COOKIE, SUPPER, PEANUT BUTTER, EAT. I think it is so sweet that Sherlock's mum thinks that he likes to hear her talk. Experienced Corgi owners know that he was focusing on those all important food words. I would guess that Sherlock was motivated 90% by tummy concerns, and 10% of him was about his heart. But that is ok, because when it is time for belly rubs, and snorgleing on the couch, the percentages will switch. This sturdy little guy and his sweet mum are the proverbial match made in heaven. Since mum is an experienced Corgi owner, we can only suspect that due to crazy love for Sherlock, her analytical mind has turned to mush. Corgi on Sherlock!
