The dogs of the Daily Corgi have taken a lot of road trips … click on the the pics to read some of their stories!
Freddie Bumbles loved his car rides (and French fries!)
Erk and Harold treat themselves to trips around town …
… out to the mountains …
… and back home again, two tuckered trekkers.
What road trips have you taken with YOUR Corgis? Tell me about them in a post comment!
In the spirit of celebrating the fun of travel with our canine companions, Subaru is rolling out a fun interactive Facebook app especially for dog owners. Head on over and create your Corgi’s very own doggy driver’s license, or chat live with a canine expert about putting your low-rider in a Subaru. Yes, the experts are real dogs; my favorite is shepherd-mix spokesdog Gypsy. Gotta love a dog with a job!
Create your dog’s driver’s license here.
(Note: Be sure to use a fake address on the license; the image will show up on the Subaru website — maybe even on The Daily Corgi’s Pinterest boards!)
Cute video alert! Click to see wag-worthy Canine Sales Associate Grant Weber wheeling and dealing with canine clients demanding a steal on new wheels!
Dexter Jaymz: This how I roll …
Use the Subaru facebook app to put your favorite fur face in the picture and take the Dog Matchmaker quiz to find your ideal Corgimobile from their line of Dog Approved. Dog Tested vehicles. (Already knew mine was a Forester, but the Outback has turned my head … make mine red!)
SuBaRoOoooo drives the fun home with a chance for you to win one of two Visa gift cards. You must like Subaru’s Facebook page to enter,
but the other four entries are optional
and can be done once each day. Use them all before the raffle ends at 11:59 pm ET on Sunday, February 24th. Let’s get a Corgi person in the winner’s circle!

Travelin’ man Brodie down at the dog park … hey, a trip’s a trip right?
Fizzgig Lovejoy Lane motored across America with his family — and showed those Rocky Mountains who’s boss along the way!
No doubt about it, my friends: Corgis — and Subaru — are GO!

My husband and I take turns planning and surprising each other with anniversary getaways….one of the "my turn to plan" years, I rented a pet-friendly 30' camper and we took Jack with us to a pet-friendly campground on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH. He loved being able to be with us everywhere, was thrilled to play in the water and chase waves on the beach, and made a perfect co-pilot as he called shotgun first and I got relegated to the back of the camper!!! We also took Jack to the Cape, speciafically P-Town where they are very welcoming of pets!!! Jack again frolicked on the beaches, got tons of loving from passersby as we walked through town, and the pet-friendly hotel was a perfect place for him to rest up! A lot of shops there welcome dogs, most if not all have bowls of water outside for them to drink, and some a bench for their humans. Even the local coffee shop The Wired Puppy lets you bring your dog inside as you order your favorite blend! We love to travel with Jack, be it a planned vacation like those, or a "where the road takes us" day trip.

Bummer. I can't get the license app in FB to work. Every time I try to add the photo, it sends me back to the first page. Maybe it doesn't like Macs? The image is <1.5MB & is a jpeg. Oh well, I'll try tomorrow at work (on a PC).

Taffy is currently planning a trip to the mid west to visit family. Our grandkids have made it VERY clear that if we don't bring Taffy, we will just have to turn around and go get her. (3 day drive!) Since she actually owns the car, we figure we'd better take her for several reasons! She's got her crate, her toys, her food and water dish, her traveling dog bag with her leashes, collars, Doggie OOPS baggies and all her necessaries in it ready to go. Watch out Iowa, Oregon's premier Corgi contingent is on it's way soon!
