Some folks are already breaking out the fireworks in advance of yearly independence celebrations. As pet owners, we need to be especially mindful of how upsetting and potentially dangerous these situations can be for our animals. In the U.S., celebrations culminating on July 4th — and in Canada on July 1st — may disrupt our pets’ everyday lives in ways we cannot expect them to understand. Please make plans now to keep them safe and secure. You — and they — will be glad you did!

Thank you for the reminder. I make sure that all our windows are closed and I leave our TV on as well. I know Noodles "safe" spot is underneath our bed, so he feels safe there from the noise of the fireworks and the TV is on to drown out the sound.
