Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I do a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world.
First, I want to say a special thank you. As many of you know, I very suddenly lost my father on Thursday, January 2, 2014, when he took his own life. I could not be more devastated. He and I were very close, and no one in my family ever thought he would do such a thing. I’ve been receiving an overwhelming amount of love and support from all angles. For those of you that left me kind and encouraging words in comments; donated to the fundraiser Laurie ran for me after his death; sent cards and flowers; and contacted me offering to lend an ear should I need someone to talk to… thank you. I really don’t know what else to say. You don’t know what your love means to me. It has made this awful experience more manageable, and for that I am eternally grateful.
Now it’s my pleasure to introduce our newest client for 2014. Leelu is a 6 year old beautiful black-headed tri girl. She recently had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her liver, had one third of her liver removed with the tumor, and got diagnosed with blood cancer. Let’s show this Corgi girl what Corgi Nation is all about and help get that bill paid!
And now allow me to introduce our second new client of 2014. Peanut is a four year old Corgi who was recently adopted by his new forever family. Around Christmas, Peanut suddenly got sick and had to spend some time at the ER Vet. The diagnosis was bladder stones and required surgery. Let’s help Peanut’s forever family pay the bill and get Peanut back on his feet!
Finally, a reminder that the 2014 CorgiPals Corgi Lingo Calendar is NOW ON SALE in our CafePress Shop! You can view the winners of the 2014 CorgiPals Corgi Lingo Calendar Contest on our website and/or our Facebook page! These calendars will make great gifts for the upcoming holidays, and all profits will go to Corgis in need via CorgiPals. Corgi on in 2014!
That about wraps it up for this week! Oh, and don’t forget … CorgiPals has a new company goal that we are trying to reach. We are trying to get our Facebook page to 10,000 “likes” by the end of 2014. We are currently at 7,790 fans! Please spread the word to help us reach our goal! Remember, every person who knows about CorgiPals is one more soldier in our army fighting for Corgis in need all over the globe! Keep on Corgi’n on!
