Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I do a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world.
This week we have three new clients to introduce! First, meet Gracie! This sweet girl got very, very sick while her family was on vacation. They cut their vacation short and rushed home to make sure she was cared for, and a trip to the vet revealed her kidney to be the problem. Sadly, Gracie crossed the Rainbow Bridge after having the kidney removed. She just wasn’t able to bounce back. Gracie needs $2,472 to reach her goal.
Now, meet Rachel. Rachel’s mom has fallen onto financial hardship in every sense of the word. Recently, Rachel started to act very out of character. She was lethargic, vomiting, and seemed to be in pain. Rachel has diabetes, so Corgi Mom Janet was very concerned. A trip to the vet revealed that Rachel had a severely infected pancreas and liver. Several nights in the hospital did her well, and she is now on her way to a full recovery. However, overnights at the vet don’t come cheap, so Janet and Rachel need help with the $3,000 bill. Her total fundraising amount is set to $3,300 to account for PayPal and Fundrazr fees. Rachel still needs $3,300 to reach her goal!
Also, a reminder on behalf of Wally! Modern Dog Magazine is holding a cover dog contest and Wally is currently in the top ten!! Voting ends TOMORROW July 2, 2014, no sign-up is required, and you can vote every 12 hours. Click here to vote for Wally! In lieu of your votes, Wally and his family pledge to donate $100 no matter the outcome of the contest. If Wally ends up in the top 5, they will increase the donation to $250 and if he wins the contest, they will then double that amount and make a $500 donation!
That about wraps it up for this week! Oh, and don’t forget … CorgiPals has a new company goal that we are trying to reach. We are trying to get our Facebook page to 15,000 “likes” by the end of 2014. We currently need only 3,290 more fans! Please spread the word to help us reach our goal! Remember, every person who knows about CorgiPals is one more soldier in our army fighting for Corgis in need all over the globe! Keep on Corgi’n on!

Too bad one can no longer vote without being a member of modern dog. 🙁
