Benny’s face launched a thousand smiles. A million smiles, maybe. He was just that special, and his own extraordinary smile — after a very rough start at life in a puppy mill — inspired many, many people.
He went after things with gusto. Once he got out of that place, he never looked back. Why would he? Benny Corgipants, along with his fellow rescued “brother” Biggie Corgipants, became widely known and well loved in Corgi Nation. And they loved it.
These two, they were characters. The best kind of characters. The kind who live forever, wherever there is remembrance. And there is plenty of that. We, all of us, will never forget.
Benny has just joined Biggie at the Bridge. Now the “House of Pants” supervises from above. What better bird’s eye view? We’d all better tow the line! There are big ears — and big smiles — and big woofs — watching from on high.
Funny how you can fall in love with a dog you’ve never met. But we do it every day, don’t we? Thank you for the smiles, beautiful boy. And thank you to your family, and to Corgi Connection of Kansas Rescue founder Jeanette DeMars, for making it all possible.
For bringing real good into the world and spreading it around. For simply being you. Wonderful you.
Corgi On, little man!

Oh wow, I love this. What a beautiful photo of Benny and Mamapants. It brought tears to my eyes – the look of love and trust on Benny's face as he gazes up at his rescuer, his human, his Mama. Thank you for sharing this – it's so special.

That is the best Saturday Smiler ever, Laurie!
Benny & Biggie, together again at the Bridge. As someone said on FB, "The boys are back in town!". I'll never be able to hear that song again without thinking of the Pants Brothers!
