Can We Talk Corgis?

 

Dear Daily Corgi friends,

Most years at the holidays, I ask for donations to support The Daily Corgi. Reader support is a cornerstone of the blog, especially since I stopped running ads a while back.

(WAIT! DON’T LEAVE YET!)

A few weeks ago, I asked for support in a “fine print-y” sort of way, embedding my ask in a wordsy, picture happy post.

I hate asking, but I do because the blog costs money to keep going. Them’s just the facts, ma’am! I enjoy doing The Daily Corgi, but I also pay for the privilege of publishing it.

I can’t be anything but honest about that. And I have to figure out where to go from here, with reader donations down nearly 80%.

Is it because there is just so darn much Corgi stuff out there on the internet now that my site can’t compete? Could very well be. With world domination in their reach, Corgis naturally saturate the intertubes.

Who can resist ’em? Not me, no siree!

 

 

By nature I’m a storyteller, a connector, an encourager, a funny person (I hope) and a MAJOR LEAGUE CORGI FAN. With the blog, for seven years I’ve been able to be and do all those things and brighten other lives in the process. The Daily Corgi site is my avocation. Because I don’t run ads, I make no income from it

So your donations matter, darn it. Yep and yeppers, they do, dear readers. For the 1% of you give routinely, I appreciate what you do. Truly!

 

 

Is 2017 the year I move on to some other Corgi related creative endeavor? I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t wondered, but it’s not entirely up to me, because The Daily Corgi is about us: you and me and all the Corgis. If you feel the same and want to upvote another year of my particular brand of low-rider mirth, merriment and community, kindly click the PayPal heart and donate $5. Or  $3. I refuse nothing. Not picky, nope and noper!

Mine wouldn’t be the first reader-supported blog to go the way of the ol’ Commodore 64 (long defunct 80s computer thingie), but I’d be sad if it went away. I like to think I’m not the only one.
